The Most Popular Building Mods for Fallout: New Vegas

New Vegas Restoration - NVR by The NVR Team

The whole point of this on - going mod is to create a Strip that reminds us that there is still some good in the wasteland. By removing the trash, repairing the buildings, and adding more life to the Strip, our goal can be achieved. The NVR Team is working very hard to create the Strip we all want! This mod cleans up the Strip by removing trash, repairing roads, buildings, and making the Strip a better place to be.

Every area on the Strip has had attention, even the places that you don't see when you're walking by. In fact, if you enter the Strip, you will automatically see a difference right beneath your feet. The roads are no longer cracked and destroyed. With Version 10, this mod is so much more than just a "Cleanup" because so many new things are added as well. See more >>

Underground Hideout New Vegas V4-4 by Danthegeek

This Mod adds a Player Vault on the the Wasteland near Spring Mt. Ranch State Park. The vault includes all the amenities including a Armory, ammo Sorters, Weapons wall, water purifier, book shelf, grow area, and is Companion Friendly. The entrance is located West of Spring Mt. Ranch State Park next to a boulder and pond. Check your map for the exact location. See more >>

Underwater Home by T4K

This mod adds an underwater home near Calville Bay and the Legion camp. It contains a special type of atmosphere and several useful features. Apart from being underwater, I tried to make it with a realistic feel to it.

The overall lighting is very different than most of New Vegas interiors and is one of the major feature, do note that every light now has a source and his radius has been greatly reduced compared to the default game, which adds a creepier and more realism to your Fallout experience.

Features:
  • Unique quest to gain Entrance.
  • Animated Water Purifier (Food and Water)
  • Reactor System to power the home. Can be deactivated, see FAQ*
  • Sorting System with a unique load out system.
  • Ammo, food, beverage, chems and nuka cola stocking.
  • Radio System (Radio New Vegas & Mojave Music Radio) Compatibility patches available*
  • Bottle Refiller (Nuka Cola, Scotch, Sunset Sarsaparilla, Whiskey).
  • Companions Rooms for all followers. Compatibility Patches available*
  • Junk Incinerator & Mojave Express dropbox in the entrance area.
  • Lab with animal capturing and plants harvesting (seeds needed first).
  • Teleport with portable teleport device and support for custom locations.
  • Entrance Moving tool (stored in the armory on a stand, near workbench).
  • Currency Exchanger with safes for your money.
  • Infirmary (Vit-o-matic, cure addiction and poisons, heal yourself and restore crippled limbs).
  • Hideout Mainframe (Master sorter, load out management and a teleporter spare, in case you lose it).
  • Several rewards for completing some of the Default in-game quests.

These features are only a small part of what Underwater Home is, there's more than that. See more >>

Goodsprings Home by Daguls

A small home, with choice location, lore friendly design, plenty of storage, a place to sleep, and a small hint of the mystery associated with its owner. A necessity for myself, and hopefully you as well :)

The mod can be found on my website, www.dahgzen.com, under projects, which houses all of my mods. You can download from there or use New Vegas Nexus, either way, please support me as you can with recommendations, comments, or questions, or even donate to the cause if you feel it! Thanks for your support. More mods to come soon. No video available for this mod. See more >>

Most Popular Fallout: New Vegas Armor Mods

Reinforced Chinese Stealth Suit - NV by gaijune

"RCSS" adds a reinforced version of the Chinese Stealth Suit to the Mojave Wasteland. This mod implements a powered-up version of the Latexy Chinese Stealth Suit that resembles the likes of a popular futuristic Ninja. Peruse the images tab for a visual reference. East of the Abandoned Brotherhood of Steel Bunker, on the far east side of the map, and south of the Hoover Dam, you'll find a "Mysterious Nook" near a cache of Lakelurk eggs. Upon entering the Nook, you'll trigger a small quest that will lead you to a terminal. Check various logs in the terminal to find clues related to the location of several RCSS items.

For a detailed description/spoiler of where to find the items, check below. Alternatively, use the following codes with the console (XX represents the Mod Index number, found next to the File category in FOMM). See more >>

Spice of Life - Variety Armor and Clothing Robert Breeze Type3 by Nivea

I was always put off by the fact that 90% of the population seemed to wear the exact same armor/clothing with the exact same hat as everyone else, the end of the world may have happened but that doesn't mean everyone found and wears the exact same piece of clothing.

This mod aims to try and lessen this issue by adding more clothing/armor variety into the wasteland through the use of level lists. This mod includes:
  • Backpacks: 11
  • Gloves: 21
  • Headgear: 64
  • Armors/Clothing: 32
  • Poncho: 9

Advanced Recon Stealth Armor by Gopher

This mod adds several sets of stealth armor. Some of these are disguised so as not to be quite so obvious from a distance. Now you can choose your look and still be a ghost. Almost all the models are styled in the manner of existing FalloutNV and Fallout3 models, especially BrotherHood of Steel look and feel, with a touch of the Chinese armor style creeping in.
  • Advanced Recon Armor : This is hi-tec adaptation of the Brotherhood of Steel recon armor. It provides far greater protection whilst also incorporating stealth technology to give a stealth field when sneaking, with no weapon drawn and stationary. This means you rely on your skill when moving or in combat, but you get the chance to become literally invisible when you stand still, adding a new dimension to the stealth experience. **HINT** Go into sneak before fast travelling, and you will arrive at your destination with stealth field intact. Same for activating doors/gates. Stop for a second before activating gate and when you enter the new zone, you will be invisible.
  • Advanced Recon Armor (Battle Worn): A battle worn version of the above (see images).
  • Recon Ranger armor: A version of the NCR Ranger combat armor with its high DT plus all the functionality of the recon stealth armor.
  • Recon Ranger Armor (Black) :A black version of the above (see images).
  • Advanced Regulator Recon Duster : As above but disguised to blend in the wasteland better. Sometimes it is not a good idea to wander about the wasteland always looking like a hi-tec commando. This armor is disguised to look similar to the regulator duster. Up close it will not fool anyone, but at a distance it might.
  • Advanced Recon Death Walker Duster : As above but in black leather.
  • Advanced Recon Trenchcoat : As above but disguised to look like a military trenchcoat. A little smarter than the regulator recon duster.
  • Advanced Recon Black Ops Coat : As above but dark grey/black.

Caesars New Regime - Legion Overhaul by dragbody, weijiesen, scottmack

When I played New Vegas for the first time, I was left with the distinct impression that the Legion should have been much more fierce. I was able to kill Vulpes and his buddies in Nipton the first time I saw them; I was able to march into the Fort and kill everyone; I was able to kill the Legate with a single head shot. All of these things made them seem like quite weak enemies, and that's before you look at their gear!

Let's face it--the Legion just doesn't look tough running around in skirts, football pads, and ugly helmets (with or without the feathers). However, the Legion almost defeated the NCR at the first battle for Hoover Dam, and they've got everyone on the west side of the Colorado scared they'll finish the job the second time. But how? As they are, they're target practice for NCR rangers and snipers. The Legion needed a new look. That's why I created this file.

What this mod does: It replaces all vanilla Legion armors, creates a few new classes, edits some weapon lists, adds a voiced companion--Achilles--in the Legion safe house, alters the faces of some prominent Legion NPCs, turns some Legion NPCs into mini-bosses (Otho, Alexus, Dead Sea), and adds some extra unique gear. The armors of Aurelius and Silus are now unique, for example. What this mod does not do: It doesn't add many Legion NPCs and it doesn't account for other mods such as AWOP that introduce new Legion classes. See more >>

The Most Popular Fallout 3 Armor Mods

Dragonskin Tactical Outfit by Antistar

The Dragonskin Tactical Outfit mod actually adds a selection of the titular outfits - in different colours and camo patterns - to the Wasteland. It is loosely based on the real Dragon Skin body armour apparently in use today by SWAT teams, Secret Service and other elite military personnel. During testing this armour withstood multiple assault rifle bullet impacts and even point-blank hand grenade blasts. The mod also adds matching 'Dragon' Combat Helmets, plus M40 Gas Masks (that provide some radiation resistance to the wearer), Combat Backpacks, Tactical Goggles and Balaclavas to complete the look.

The player will not need to find (or purchase) more than one outfit to be able to use it in different camo configurations: much cheaper and lighter 'camo packages' containing different 'covers' for the armour and helmets will allow the player to swap the camo type used by the outfit whenever they wish. The outfits themselves are quite expensive, but offer fantastic protection: they are intended to be amongst the best armour available in-game; before stepping up to power armour, that is. The outfits also increase the maximum weight the player can carry, and offer mild bonuses to the Small Guns and Sneak skills. Outfit and Helmet Camo Types:
  • Black, Desert, Urban, Winter and Woodland
Backpack Camo Types:
  • Black, Brown, Desert, Grey, Olive Drab, Tan, Urban, White, Winter, Woodland

Reinforced Chinese Stealth Suit by Shake

*Requires Operation Anchorage. This adds four armored variations of the Chinese Stealth Suit to the Wasteland called Dragoon Assault Armor, Dragoon Light Armor, Dragoon Imperial Armor, and Dragoon Swordmaster Armor. Also included are optional "Addon" items for Night Vision, increased Carry Capacity, and other various things. The set is a WIP, so expect changes or additions in the near future.

Warhammer 40k Space Marine armor by cerberos008

Become the Space Marine you've always wanted to be! With a complete redesign of the vanilla Power Armor, you can look exactly like the Emperor's finest. The sets of armor can be found inside three metal boxes in Underworld Concourse, within the 2nd floor room that's furthest from the city entrance. The boxes are right beside the mattress bed. Alternatively, when in-game, open up your game console and type in the bottom codes without the quotes to add the items into your inventory. See more >>

Please note that the headgear and helmets designed to go with this armor are now found here: Advanced Recon Thermal Nightvision.
  • Advanced Recon Armor - This is hi-tec adaptation of the Brotherhood of Steel recon armor. The Best Fallout 3 ENB Presets

Loading...

Midhrastic ENB for Fallout 3 by midhras

Midhrastic is an ENB configuration for use with Fallout 3 (and possibly also New Vegas). It was based off the ENBseries binary and shader files designed by Boris Vorontsov (of enbdev.com). ENBseries is an image post-processing method hugely popular in games such as Grand Theft Auto IV and Skyrim, and many users have designed their own configuration using original and scrounged code and personally tweaked values. I’m a tweaker and scrounger myself. Upon recently discovering that Vorontsov released an experimental binary for use with Fallout: New Vegas, and after trillville (a.k.a. Anthemios) used it to great effect in Fallout 3, I had to try and design my own ENB. What you can download here is the result of that desire. See more >>

Realism ENB 0_237 by Wanny

This is simply an ENB aiming for realistic image. Nothing more, nothing less. Contains a custom weather ESP file and cloud textures to make sure there are no bugs. DLCs are not officially supported as I didn't work on them much (yet) but they will work. DC/Surburban area is partial cloudy, North is overcast and Wasteland East/West is sunny.

It is heavily edited to my taste and may not please everyone. I got a few requests to upload this ENB config so there we are. Hope you enjoy. I won't provide support much as I don't have much time for modding and I hope you understand. See more >>

Lone Wanderer ENB by lonewanderer518

Lone Wanderer ENB will enhance the sense of visual immersion and gameplay. Powered by ENB .161 it uses sun glares, palette based color corrections, bloom, SMAA, SSAO, Indirect lighting, and detailed shadows. Post processing is done with SweetFX. This adds anti-aliasing, Lumasharpen, HDR, DPX, Tonemapping, Vibrance, LiftGammaGain, Dither and Curves . Additionally, the prepass effects have modifications and original tweaks from Kyo and Midhras. These prepass effects bring you tilt-shift, chromatic aberration, sharpening, film grain noise, advanced focus, and bokeh blur with multiple offsets.

Two key characteristics are more realistic colors and depth of lighting. A goal that will continue to be developed is customization. Many variables are being worked on to give the user a chance to adjust this mod to their taste. Revive your game and travel the wasteland as the Lone Wanderer. See more >>

Enb Next Generation by TheRadik

Enb Next Generation is based in two different configurations for a different experience than the original. The Next Generation "F3ProjectRealitymkl" is a configuration adapted for this mod. And the Next Generation Standard is a configuration adapted for itself, but is based mod "Fellout". The Next Generation of configuration F3ProjectRealitymkl fantastic mod, has more variety of climates and some effects, this setup works fine for Fallout 3 DLC. It supports FALLOUT GOTY, and might even be true for New Vegas, but you should get off FN Mkl Project Reality mod for New Vegas to make it work, but for now only recommend using it in Fallout 3, because later I will make a similar setup for Fallout new vegas.

The Next Generation Standard Configuration, stands on its own, does not need to install another mod, and is compatible for Fallout 3, also works for all the DLC, but I found that there may be problems for the nights can be very bright, but could be solved if you download the DLC Support mod "Fellout". Fallout 3 the Most Popular Guild / Faction Mods

Mothership Zeta Crew by Nylonathathep

So, you've finished playing Mothership Zeta and have conquered your own starship. You are the commander, but your crew consists on a know-it-all brat and an agoraphobic field medic. Not exactly the mightiest army ever, is it? Well, we are going to change that.

Mothership Zeta Crew adds a new faction under your command. It will develop a whole history arc involving the recruitment and commandment of a force comparable with the enclave or the Brotherhood of Steel itself. Can't say much more without spoiling the story! Once the mod is active and you've finished the Zeta add on, a button will appear in the command bridge, on the console at the right of your command chair. Press it and let the story begin! Features:
  • New areas on the ship and outside
  • Hordes of new NPC
  • New unique missions (5 for now)
  • Enclave commander-esque features
  • New Armor
  • New Weapons
  • Special features
  • An epic story arc

MERC 2 by Vforvic and SiN

In Merc 2 you will meet Blain who promises safety and security in exchange for your help in locating a long hidden base. Blain seems to know about both you and your father and promises to help you both. If you follow Blain you could unlock a secret that promises wealth, security and advanced technology. With his help you could forge a new faction in the Wasteland and perhaps tip the balance of power…or others that seek the power could do the same. If you win you could have a powerful new faction to command with new locations, weapons, armor and a safe place to call home.

When I started writing for this mod I had a vision of bringing us back to FO2 where the decisions weren't as clear cut; morality by choice, not by design. The 1.5 version of MERC 2 is the result; NPCs who seem to live and breathe, each trying to make sense of a world that doesn't make sense and where the rules only apply to those who can defend themselves. Raiders Regulators Talon Expanded by PimpBot420

This mod attempts to increase the variety of Raiders, Regulators, and Talon company mercenaries that you run across in the wastelands. In addition to a greater variety of equipment, there are a handful of new items that are added. All new items can be found on the appropriate enemy. This mod will not affect any Raiders or mercenaries that have already spawned in your game, only to newly generated enemies.
  • Raiders have received 15 armors, 17 headgear, 14 weapons.
  • Regulators have received 2 armor, 6 headgear, 2 weapons.
  • Talon company has received 2 armor, 6 headgear, 10 weapons.
  • Female Regulators and Talon Company mercs have been added.

8 new armors are introduced: Carnage Hawk Armor, Hand-Me-Down Raider Armor, Highway Scar Armor, Sharp-Dressed Raider's Armor, Regulator Trench Coat, Talon Metal Armor, Regulator Leather Jacket, Talon Recruit's Outfit
11 new headgear are introduced: Hunter's Mask, Hunter's Hat, Regulator's hat, Black Eye patch, Pyro Helmet, Welder's Shade, Anchorite's Helmet, The Devil's Pigtails, Deactivated Slave Collar, Wasteland Flatfoot's Cap, Talon Riot Helmet. No video available for this mod. See more >>

Reillys Rangers Expanded by Tubal

Don't have any reason to return to the Ranger compound after completing Reilly's quest besides the caps? Feel that a mercenary team of 4 seems a bit small to operate in the DC ruins?
Reilly's Rangers Expanded adds new rangers and new features to the compound over time. As you help the rangers to explore they expand their operation.

This initial version adds new rangers as guards for the compound, a merchant, a player-owned tent, a wearable ballistic mask, and a few other minor tweaks. All features will become available by returning to Reilly with mapping data. Currently there is no consideration for how much data is needed, so 1 map marker is all that's needed to unlock another step. Leave the area for a day or so for the expansion to take place. Also re textures the Ranger Battle Armour, and the ranger logos decorating the place. No video available for this mod. See more >>

Official Pipboy Readius - New Vegas Edition by AlexScoprion and Brianide

This is the official port of the Pipboy Readius mod from Fallout 3. It replaces the regular ingame Pipboy with a handheld Readius-like device. It also removes the default Pipboy from the player's arm, as well as the accompanying glove.Controllers work. This is something we received a lot of complaints about in Fallout 3. Credit for this is mostly due to Vivanto, so you should all express your gratitude by appropriating him his deserved kudos (see Credits section at bottom for link). The Pip-Boy light is no longer remapped. There is now an Aid item "[Pip-Boy Readius Options]" which can be used to access the uninstallation menu, should the need arise.

Enhanced Blood Textures for NV v2_22c by dDefinder

Increases the resolution size from 256 to 1024 and created new textures for screen, world, wounds, static blood decals and gore. Esps are used to increase the size appearance of the blood. Adjustments for screenblood, added more giblets and new wound textures related to the weapon type. Ini will change max amount and lifetime for blood that is in the world space. More creatures can now cause wounds where before they didn't. No video available for this mod.

Monster Mod by Dogtown1

Adds many new creatures to the game integrated through the spawn levelled lists. Now I dont mean red, blue, and orange versions of the default creatures, I mean theres 130 creatures that you have never seen before or they have a new model and texture making them unique, including their stats. What this means is you will always get something to spawn, just not 20 of them. I did this for a reason, its still a challenge with the spawn chance maxed instead of your computer trying to proccess a spawn count so high it blows up your computer. I also set the the respawn time to 2 days instead of 3.

Fallout 1 Full Remake by Arcseso Team for Fallout: NV

Loading...
Fallout 1 - The Story WIP by ARCSESO

Check also development diary page on FB

Progress level:

  • Vault 13 (100% complete)
  • Vault 15 (100% complete)
  • Shady Sands (80% complete)
  • Junktown (50% complete)
  • The Glow (started)
  • Necropolis (started)
  • Raider Camp (claimed)
  • The Hub (started)

Fallout the Story is a work in progress at the moment. It is designed as a mod for the NV base game only (no DLCs needed). It is one of the main design goals to keep the look and feel of this all time classic intact. Which means it is a lot of work and needs every support it can get.

Locations:
Arcseso team have made a complete new travel system. Which allows the player to discover the map of Fallout 1, also includes random encounters and the ability to flee (if your character is a coward ;) ). The game will be node based as the original. So you travel from one small world space to another. It is not a continues world. They have plans to add one larger world space which allows a bit more exploration (as easter egg so to say) but this one will be started at the end of development.

Quests:

  • Vault 13: (start and revisit 100% complete)
  • Vault 15: (100% complete that was an easy one ;) )
  • Shady Sands (About 30% done)
  • Junktown (About 20% done)
All creatures (except they have forgotten one and "The Master" doesn't count as simple creature here ;) ) from Fallout 1 are complete in their original form. Sure that they reuse from New Vegas but if changes are needed (Centaur for example) they are made.

Armors & Clothing:
To keep the look & fell of the game at the same level as the original a lot of armors got a makeover. Which means Fallout The Story will look a bit more clean then Fallout 3 or NV but this change is intended.

The first Developer Vlog for Fallout The Story

Follower & Reputation:
The follower system is different in Fallout 1 then in the newer versions. They aren't mostly the nice guys which can only be used as pack mules. We try to reflect this with several additions to the standard system.

The second Developer Vlog for Fallout The Story

Follower:

  • Need ammo (100% complete).
  • Are part of factions and react to player actions against them (100% complete).
  • Comment on places that are visited by the player (started)
Reputation:
Fallout the story uses the NV reputation system. Which is a bit more complex then the original and maybe a bit more unforgiving as they think it's worth it.

But they also added the newer features like the companion wheel.

Since there won't be any remake of the classics by BGS, this mod will get you the closest to the feel of the classic Fallout games in full beauty of 3D! This mod still needs a lot of work to be done, but also it needs every support it can get! Support this project by leaving comment (share your thought), and share this post and dev videos with your Fallout friends.

Weapon Modification Kits - or 'Weapon Mod Kits' - allow you to use standard Workbenches to modify your favourite firearms with a range of handy attachments:
  • Auto-Fire Mechanism (AF): Adds full-auto firing capability to most guns that do not have it otherwise (also increases weapon spread by around 50% and reduces weapon to 65% of its default accuracy in VATS).
  • Extended Magazine/Clip (EC): Doubles magazine/clip capacity.
  • Laser Sight (LS): Increases accuracy (reduces weapon spread by around 33% and increases weapon accuracy in VATS by 25%).
  • Scope (SC): Can use scope to sight targets, increases range by 30%.
  • Silencer (SI): Makes weapon silent, reduces damage and projectile speed (by around 10% each).
In addition, the loving attention bestowed upon your weapon during modification results in durability improvements. Each successive mod applied to a weapon increases its durability by 25% (of its base durability). See more >>

NMCs_Texture_Pack_for_FO3 by NeilMc_NMC

It changes the vast majority of in-game graphics, does not cover the DLC. This was a years worth of work, all textures were made individually by 1 person alone, and took a great deal of effort. This graphics mod change: Roads, Landscape, Trees, Rocks, Vehicles- Cars/ Motorbikes/ Boats etc., Buildings- Litter & most paper scraps, Interiors- all aspects, walls ceilings floors etc., Medium to large sized objects (eg. toolboxes, Nuka cola vendors, chairs, cupboards etc). This encompasses the bulk of the in-game visuals, what I consider the vast majority of the graphics. See more >>

Fallout 3 Redesigned - Formerly Project Beauty HD by Dracomies and SpaceOden

This is my attempt to change NPCS in Fallout 3. I have redesigned their facial structure to give them a more natural appearance, as well as to preserve their character as well. It removes some of the awkward skin tones, and facial structures of the Vanilla versions. Rather than listing every NPC that was changed, you will need to take my word that nearly 500 NPCs have been redesigned in Fallout 3. Everything from children, Talon Mercs, women, men, Raiders, named NPCs, the random straggler walking on the side of the road, etc. I am an avid fan of Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 and this has helped me in making the characters fit the lore of Fallout 3. I also have had experience in the past with character design and with portrait drawing and this has helped me a tad with figuring out the right proportions for characters in Fallout 3. See more >>

Fallout 3 Re-Animated by Alendor

This is a re-animation project for Fallout 3 that I began in my spare time. While playing though the game I felt that the poses and animation just didn't suit my taste, and kind of took away from my experience. Not to say they are poorly done, however they just weren’t my style. So I began looking at how to get animations into Fallout 3, and this is my result. I’m a professional animator (although not in the biz long) and am using this project to help keep my skills up, as well as to enhance the game immersion which I feel could be increased with updated animations. Not necessarily requiring a quality update, as the Beth guys are great at their job, but just a different approach or style to the poses and animations such as rifle aiming, idles and so forth of the human characters. My goal is to reanimate a significant amount of the human animations that are all game play related. Of which there are around 300 of them, and I say game play related, because there is another 700+ animations in the idle folder. So I’m working on pretty much all the action based animations that will play on your player character. See more >>

Top 10 Fallout: New Vegas Mods of All-time

Project Nevada by PN Team

Mod aiming to make Fallout: New Vegas a more interesting - eventually more challenging - but surely more fun experience for you.Created by the team responsible for the Fallout 3 Wanderers Edition (FWE), we're leaving the barren DC wasteland behind and move on west to new, exciting regions.Project Nevada is not an overhaul, instead it's organized as a set of themed modules. Each module can address different aspects of the game and target different audiences, but they are also designed to work in conjunction. Our vision is to allow players picking the modules they want and using them together with any mod they like, instead of forcing them to make the all-or-nothing choice. Short descriptions of all current modules:
  • Core module - the foundation of Project Nevada, and as such required by all other modules.
  • Cyberware - Even though humanity nuked itself back into the Stone Age, you don't have to fight with sticks and stones. Some of man's most advanced technological creations have been preserved - and the Cyberware module gives you the chance to obtain them!
  • Rebalance - This module aims to bring back the challenge and balance known from Fallout3 Wanderers Edition and includes many tweaks to the FNV gameplay and difficulty.
  • Equipment module - brings new weapons and armor to the Mojave Wasteland.

New Vegas Bounties I by Someguy2000

"New Vegas Bounties I" is the first installment in a planned series for Fallout: New Vegas. Upon initiating the quest, you'll be tasked with tracking down the most malevolent and vile assortment of outlaws in the Mojave Wasteland.
Your targets will include rogue rangers, fiends, raiders, drug smugglers, cannibals, and pistoleros, to name a few. Your opponents are all designed to be boss-caliber, akin to the fiends in "Three-Card Bounty", and become gradually more difficult as you progress. At its core, New Vegas Bounties is an action mod; extreme violence and profanity are ubiquitous. In lieu of mind-boggling puzzles or "go collect x or y resource"-type quests, you will be confronted with dangerous opponents who are designed to frustrate and kill you. You will be harried, ambushed, outnumbered, and outgunned. This is the path of a bounty hunter - take it or leave it. See more >>

Nevada Skies - Weather Effects by Yossarian

This mod adds more versatile weather effects to the Mojave. Weather effects include Sandstorms, Rain, Rainstorms, RADstorms (make sure you got Rad-X), Thunderstorms (with/without rain) and snow at appropriate areas. The Mod adds more than 320 new cloud- and weather variants to the game. Sunrises and sunsets have been tweaked for more diversity, and nights are darker and do look more like real nights. Additional changes to the environmental light appearance to support the weather appearance and the mood they create. Bloom effect reworked to reduce NPC and player figure glow appearance. Also this weather mod provides you with a large amount of special weather themes, that create a unique and new feeling to the game and can be activated as standalone or as part of the main climate. Some of those moods have special effects such as snow, icestorms, toxicstorms and firestorms. See more >>

Weapon Mods Expanded - WMX by Antistar

My Weapon Mod Kits (WMK) mod for Fallout 3 was the inspiration for Obsidian's implementation of the weapon modding system in Fallout New Vegas; something which I am quite proud of and flattered by. I like Obsidian's take on it; enough that I wanted to add to it... 'expand' upon it, you might say. Weapon Mods Expanded (WMX) for Fallout New Vegas expands upon the base game's weapon modding system in the following ways:
  • ALL weapons get the maximum of three applicable weapon mods; this includes unique weapons.
  • Unique weapons can be modified with the same weapon mods as their common counterparts.
  • Some existing weapon mods (from the base game) are newly applied to weapons besides their defaults...
  • But many more are weapon mods newly added by WMX.
  • Some weapon mods can be applied to multiple different weapons.
  • New crafting possibilities for the more low-tech weapon mods (mainly melee weapon mods).
  • Some unique weapons without a common counterpart (for example That Gun and This Machine) receive one.
  • New and altered art assets to visually depict most of the new weapon mods.
  • Chance to find weapon mods in loot.
  • More weapon mods available from merchants (to compensate for more types being available).
  • WMX also contains numerous fixes for visual bugs in weapon meshes and textures.

NMCs Texture Pack For New Vegas by NeilMc_NMC

This mod changes the vast majority of in-game graphics. Does not retexture the DLC. But the DLC will still work if you use this mod, but will use default game textures where applicable. This was a years worth of work, all textures were made individually by 1 person alone, and took a great deal of effort. This mod changes: RoadsLandscape, Trees (ie trunks/branches), Vehicles, Buildings, Interiors, Medium to large sized objects (eg. toolboxes, Nuka cola vendors, chairs, cupboards etc). See more >>

The Mod Configuration Menu by Pelinor

The Mod Configuration Menu (MCM) is a resource for other mods to use which adds a "Mod Configuration" button to the Pause menu. When you click on it, a window appears with a list of all of the mods using MCM. Each of these listed mods are then configured from within the same menu. As can be seen in the screenshots, a very user-friendly menu allows you to quickly and confidently configure your mods. You won't have to use any items or press any special keys to use it. For modders wanting to use MCM menus for their mods, a detailed guide is given explaining how. Mods using MCM only require MCM to be installed and activated to use the menu; there is no master dependency to the system, so your mod will still work if the user doesn't have MCM installed. A World Of Pain by Dj Mystro

Adds 114 intense locations to the wasteland filled with enemies and loot. They vary from small Gas Stations to huge maze-like sewers and derelict factories. Adds several days of new gameplay possibilities. A massive new linked Underground complex awaits filled with quests, NPCs with dialogue, vendors and some of the toughest enemies you will encounter anywhere in the game. Also adds many modified weapons, armors and items to the game with enhanced stats to help and hinder you throughout. Everything has been done using vanilla content at this stage so the filsesize should still be tiny. That said everything is complete and navmeshed and there should be no gaps or unfinished interiors. The final version will not have a name change (I changed my mind about that) so it’s gonna be called a Preview forever. Note about Loot: This mod adds quite a lot of loot (though much less than older versions). If you don't like finding lots of useful stuff in most AWOP locations then get the Low Loot patches from the patches site. Also if you are concerned that having about 300 extra NPCs in the wasteland will slow your computer down too much grab the LowNPCs Patch (also on the AWOP Patches Site) which removes all but about 15 AWOP NPCs (from exteriors only and removes no-one important or with dialogue).
