3. Old World Blues

The third add-on for Fallout: New Vegas, developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda Softworks. What would you do without your brain, spine and heart? The logical answer is "die," but that wouldn't make for a very interesting time. Old World Blues begins with you waking up sans aforementioned giblets and bits in a science lab-adorned crater called Big Mountain. Instead of hindering you in any way, your bizarre makeover actually gives you three sweet Perks that prevent you from being crippled and increase your strength.

After being transported to the Big MT research crater, you find that you're the only hope of saving the "Think Tank" – a strange group of post-human researchers who inhabit the facility. They enlist your aid to save them from their own experiments - experiments that have gone horribly out of control and an evil scientist who threatens their lives. As you explore the Big Mountain crater and its many underground labs, you’ll confront strange mutated animals, battle terrifying new atomic robots and discover a new home base to call your own.

When walking around Big Mountain you'll occasionally hear one of the doctors say something goofy over the speakers, reminding you that you aren't alone in the big crater. Recover all the weapons, armor and tech of the pre-War era and use them to help save all of Science and hunt down your own brain, spine and heart which have been removed from your character in an experiment. Similar to past download able contents for New Vegas, it ends with various cut-scenes detailing how the decisions you made along the way affected the whereabouts and fates of the characters you've interacted with.

4. Lonesome Road

The fourth and final add-on for Fallout: New Vegas, developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda Softworks. This concludes the story arc beginning with Dead Money chronologically, finally answering the foreboding clues given in add-ons past. The new quest line dangles the courier who rejected the Platinum Chip job in front you, insinuating that meeting up with him will reveal something about your past. The ornery courier Ulysses demands that you travel through a treacherous canyon known as "The Divide", a landscape torn apart by frequent earthquakes and violent storms, before he'll answer any of your questions.

This is the fabled location of the battle between the Courier and Ulysses. The plot is all over the place: it starts off seeming random and inconsequential and ends on an overly dramatic note. The road to the Divide is a long and treacherous one, and of the few brave enough to walk it, none have ever returned.

Although Ulysses double-dog daring you to enter the Divide is rather silly, Lonesome Road effectively develops a tender relationship between your courier and a tiny Eyebot named ED-E. Poor pacing aside, the finale of this mission can significantly impact the world and that helps make the journey feel somewhat worthwhile. Lonesome Road does not extend gameplay past the game's original ending, but can affect part of the Mojave Wasteland after completing the main quest.
