Fallout 4 Reveal At E3 This Year?!

There was never any doubt that Bethesda would return to the Fallout series after the explosive success of Fallout 3 and New Vegas, but the developer has been completely silent about Fallout 4. We might still be in the dark if Kotaku hadn’t come across leaked documents detailing the setting and some of the characters that will appear in the unannounced game. If Fallout 4 does make an appearance at E3, expect the city of Boston to host the next post-apocalyptic adventure.

PlayStationing writes: "I’m a huge fan of Bethesda and the Fallout games, so I don’t know if this is just wishful thinking or not, but I’m guessing we’ll finally see the announcement of Fallout 4 at E3 2014. Fallout 4 has been on everyone’s brain since E3 2013. With dozens of rumors flying around and even a fake website to boot, speculation since last year have been at all an time high. Kotaku themselves claim they’ve received documents indicating the game will be set in Boston. However, Bethesda has made sure to quash rumors and speculation, saying that “if you don’t hear it through an official channel”, it’s false. So, for the most part, there’s no confirmed information about Fallout 4. So why would it appear at E3?

Interest in a new Fallout game has done nothing but sky-rocket since E3 2013. A recent trademark for Nuka-Cola, multiple forum posts and “what we want” articles on game sites; all of this has been fuel to the fire for a new entry in the post-apocalyptic RPG. After the rather disappointing Elder Scrolls Online entry, fans have been clamouring for Bethesda to return to Fallout now more than ever. With E3 right around the corner, the ball is in Bethesda’s court. Could they finally unveil something at E3 this year? Fallout have been becoming more and more restless over the next iteration of the series since the last release, New Vegas, in 2010.

Many leaks have been appearing on the web about the upcoming title and with many rumors leading us to believe that the game’s development is coming along quite nicely, and E3 approaching rapidly, it’s only natural for us to discuss a possible announcement. We could be seeing a Fallout 4 announcement at the latest, early 2015. That doesn’t mean we can’t get our hopes up for E3 in June. Fallout 4 is definitely on the top for most. So if there was going to be an announcement at E3 this year, where during The Electronic Entertainment Expo would be an appropriate place to unveil it - the Microsoft Press-Conference. That’s usually where most of the third-party games get announced and Bethesda sure does endorse Xbox a lot over PlayStation so it would be most plausible to see it there. Of course Microsoft’s press-event is one of the four major press-conferences at the show and is the first conference that kicks off the show every year and will do so again this year.

Bethesda still has a lot of games to release this year like The Evil Within, Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Elder Scrolls Online for PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. So there’s not that much room for another game this year. But next year would seem like a good year for another Bethesda Game Studios product. There’s not that much coming from Bethesda next year besides Doom 4. So we’ll have to see. E3 is in one month and if we don’t see it there then we’ll just have to keep waiting and waiting.. Let us know what you think, Fallout 4 at E3 2014 - Yes or no?!
